Can you really afford to keep renting?

Would you pay $2500 for a $500 computer? Of course not, right? What about $3,500 for a $800 washer and dryer? Terrible move, right?

These are no-brainer questions. No one would go to a store and say, “Hey, I’ll give you three times what that television is worth! Where do I pay?” But, sadly, that’s what a lot of people do when they choose to where to live—which is seriously one of the worst moves you can make with your money.

In Athens, Ga most people choose to rent while they are in school and continue to rent homes after they graduate. Each month they pay for someone else’s mortgage and build equity in someone else’s property–SIMPLY because they do not realize they have other options.

Most first time home buyers qualify for ZERO or LOW down payment home loans – even with less than perfect credit. Usually with less money than most rentals require for deposits, you could be in your very own home. Even better, your monthly payments are often lower than renting AND you build equity while you live there.
